While there is an existing social media policy (see the Intranet, section 7), you may decide that more thought needs to be done in this area.  The course material does point to a governance website for some company examples but you might also be interested in reading the following 2010 article as its focus is in the medical environment.

Although not medical in nature, a very relevant blog post came to my attention via one of my LinkedIn groups - Intelligent Social Media.  It is from 'The Social Workplace' and gives advice on the elements of a social media policy.
